Sweet little Twix came to be a companion to Socks and Smudge, but she tended to be the odd rat out until the arrival of Sue, who became her rattie best friend for the rest of her life. Twix suffered from respiratory problems for the last months of her life and she was already an old lady, and very thin, by the time this photo was taken. She was put to sleep when her breathing problems finally became too much for her. Her friend Sue, who was paralysed, went with her - friends to the end.
