December 1997 - 1 July 2000 She was an almost perfectly marked black berkshire doe and when she first came to live here she was terrified of everything. But she grew to love her humans, even though she was never a cuddly rat. But she was a cheeky bundle of fun. Her favourite game was "nipping the human's toe and running away", closely followed by "almost letting the human catch me." When Bugsy had her babies, Sharky never interfered with them, but she would stay in the cage if Bugsy was out, and wouldn't leave the babies until Bugsy returned to them. Sharky had several benign tumours removed during the course of her life, and she was without a doubt the most determined remover of stitches that ever lived. On one memorable occasion she removed her stitches before she could be collected from the vet. Sharky succumbed to cancer aged two and a half.
