Born 2006

Paddy and his cagemate Max came Edinburgh from Devon, where kind people had adopted them from PAH under their adoption scheme. Paddy is a rather frail, sneezy boy and when he came he was obviously quite repressed by Max, who is twice his size. Max never attacked him though, even when he (Max) was going through his dominant hormonal troubles. After Max was neutered, Paddy came out of his shell and he has recently tried to assert himself over Max, which has led to them fighting and having to be separated.

Paddy is a sweet boy and very lively. He loves being out and, unlike most male rats, who tend to be lazy, he is never still. His respiratory problems keep resurfacing and he is likely to need periodic treatment throughout his life. But he certainly seems happy enough, even with his sneezing and rattling.
