Dandy was advertised as a "free albino rat" on card on a supermarket notice board. The girl he belonged to didn't want him any more, so he came to join the ratsnest mob and was neutered so he could live with Ghost, Gambit, Spook and Dart. Dandy had never seen another rat before and at first he was terrified of the wild mob of females he was introduced to. Gambit, however, was determined that he would accept her and she followed him everywhere until he did. Eventually, Dandy became perfectly at ease with his harem and lived a contented life with his ladies.

Dandy had a heart condition and for nearly a year it was kept under control with medication. One morning he seemed a little lethargic and a few minutes later he passed away, peacefully and at home with his beloved old ladies.
