Xander came with his brother Fogerty from Alpha Centauri Rats in Somerset. He was originally much more shy than his bold brother, but he came out of his shell and became quite a bossy rat. He had some seizures when he was a baby and caused some worry, but he outgrew these naturally. He was a very sweet natured boy with people, but very territorial with other rats, tolerating only his brother. Fogerty had to be put to sleep after developing a pituitary tumour.
